Aw Li-Ann : The Social Butterfly

With a bubbly personality, infectious laugh and highly entertaining demeanour, it’s really no wonder that INK PR’s Account Director, Li-Ann, can often be found flitting about some of KLs trendiest cafés as well as social events.

It’s all in the name of work, she says, and certainly the number of friends, acquaintances and contacts she brings to the table is second to none and is always a fantastic asset to the team.

A Limkokwing graduate of Mass Communications and self-confessed jack of all trades, Li-Ann has dabbled in a number of industries, including event management, hospitality, advertising and of course, public relations.

In more than a decade since venturing into the public relations scene, this knowledgeable lass has accumulated experience in an astounding number of industries, including but not limited to sports, beauty, luxury lifestyle, engineering and machineries, interior design, finance and banking, information technology, food and beverages, hospitality and tourism, and even performing arts (interestingly, she studied dance for 13 years as a child!).

Having certainly been around the corporate block, Li-Ann still wishes to further increase her repertoire of industry knowledge and looks forward to expanding her scope together with Ink

1.Favourite celebrity?
Will Smith or Antonio Banderas – cos they’re multitalented.

2.Most interesting trip you have ever taken? Why?
Seeing my dad’s hometown in Setiawan after 20 years and visiting the resting place of my late grandparents whom I had never met before. I got a great glimpse into the life of my dad as a teen.

3.What is your favourite breakfast food?
Half-boiled eggs.

4.If you had a million dollars, how would you spend it?
Holidays! I want to see the world!

5.How would be the best way for someone to approach you?
Come up to me and say something to the effect of “I think I remember you from somewhere before!” As a ‘social butterfly’ and PR Personnel, I like to feel remembered for my events and for attending events – maybe I have a little bit of a ‘celebrity complex’! (laughs)

6.If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
Nadia Comanece, the national Romanian gymnast. She was the first person ever to hit a perfect 10. I think it was in the ’84 games – she scored seven perfect 10s in those Olympics!

7.If you could be a super hero, what power would you like to have?
Power to heal.

8.If you were a fruit, what kind would you be?
Passionfruit.

9.What actor would play you in a movie about your life?
Julia Roberts or Angelina Jolie

10.If you were given $1 million that you had to donate anonymously, who would be your recipient?
It would definitely be for a foundation or organisations for children’s welfare and education, particularly the ones in the rural as they lack support.

11.If you could take a trip anywhere for 30 days with money not being a consideration, where would you go and what would you do?
Go to Europe and tour the castles.

12.If I wasn’t doing this, I would be…..
Running a restaurant / bar in the heart of the city!
